PERANCANGAN DAN IMPLEMENTASI APLIKASI ABSENSI DAN PENGAJUAN IZIN KARYAWAN BERBASIS ANDROID PADA KING ROYAL HOTEL BREBES

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has encouraged organizations to shift from manual systems to digital systems in order to improve efficiency and accuracy in data management. At King Royal Hotel Brebes, the employee attendance and leave request processes are still conducted manually, which potentially leads to delays in recording, data inaccuracies, and ineffective administrative management. This study aims to design and implement an Android-based employee attendance and leave request application to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the existing system. The research method used is a software development approach employing the Waterfall Model, which consists of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, questionnaire distribution, and documentation study. The results show that the developed application is capable of automating the attendance and leave request processes in real-time. System testing using the Black Box method indicates that all application features function properly according to requirements. In addition, the results of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) show an average score of 89.2%, which falls into the “very good” category, indicating a high level of user acceptance of the application. Thus, the implementation of this application is able to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in managing employee attendance and leave requests. This application is expected to serve as an effective solution in supporting the digitalization of employee management systems within the hotel environment.
